Two more months for the year to end, and I am thinking of snow...snow...snow... yeah, winters are great time to travel but I'm sure this is the travel season because of the school holiday, Christmas and New Year.
However, I believe traveling during school holiday is more expensive and I did not see any promotion in Airasia that will allow me to experience winter this year.
So... why don't I spend my time here in Sabah and discover my own place and write about it? Hmmmm...
The first thing that popped into my mind is Turtle Island Park in Sandakan. I never been there. According to Sabah Tourism website, the Turtle Island Park (gazetted 1977) lies 40km north of Sandakan in the Sulu Sea and consists of Selingan, Bakungan Kecil and Gulisan islands.
The park is a safe haven for the endangered green and hawksbill turtles and gives you the rare opportunity to watch turtle landings. Selingan, the largest of the islands, houses the park's headquarters, a turtle hatchery, tourist accommodation and basic facilities. The other two islands are more for conservation activities.
Anyone interested to go there next month? We backpack la...

It's great idea after all. Doesn't means you have to go oversea to encounter the feeling of holiday and vacation. Even travel at your beloved hometown would make a perfect getaway.
I also plan to travel around KK after done with my study in KL. I haven't went to the Lok Kawi zoo and try on the new train. :P
